Trophies serve the purpose of comparison when it comes to competitive gameplay in clash of clans. Players can compare it with their friends and keep their trophies count as a way of showing how good of a player they are. Leagues also exist to encourage players in pushing harder to get more trophies. If your goal is also to get more trophies this is where you’ll learn it.
Hello guys in this article I’ll be telling you things that I personally did to push to champion league as a town hall 8. These things will help you get more trophies and as a result climb the ladder very efficiently so without further delay let’s get started.
1 – Army breakdown
In order to climb leagues first the thing you need to do is train an army that can clear a base with 2 stars. What most people do is try to get 3 stars which gets really hard as you climb higher.
The best way to manage your army is to train it while keeping in mind that all you need is 2 stars not 3. Following is how I break it down for town halls.
Town hall 7 – Dragons with balloons.
Town hall 8 – Either hogs with archers or Dragons with balloons.
Town hall 9 – Golem with Valkyries and PEKKA.
The goal of any type of army you train should be to get 2 stars every attack, anything above that is a bonus but make sure to focus on getting 2 stars.
2 – Clan Castle troops
Clan castle troops are mostly ignored but they boost your chances of getting an extra star. Always try to get something in clan castle however if you can’t get it don’t worry it’s something you want to try to get so don’t put your entire focus on it.
Electro dragon is best but costs a lot of space so other options can be baby dragons, dragon, hogs and Valkyries. Try getting some of them in your clan castle before going for attacks.
3 – Searching for attacks
Now this one might be obvious but when finding a base to attack do not look for a base with high loot. What you want to focus on is a base that gives decent trophies for getting 2 stars.
Most realistically you’ll be getting 2 stars a lot of the times even if your army is really good so what you want to do is focus on getting 2 stars and getting enough trophies for getting those 2 stars. A base with easy access to town hall is a bonus but not a must so focus on bases that give fine enough trophies upon scoring 2 stars.
For example if a base gives 30 trophies for 3 stars but its really hard to even 2 star that’s not what you want. You want a base with decent trophies AND one that you can 2 star for sure.
4 – Attack strategy
The best attack strategy is,
Make way to town hall and focus entirely on destroying it first while saving some of your army for later use. That will help you secure one star.
Once you done destroying town hall shift your focus on the scattered buildings. Use your remaining army to get the 50% damage and secure 2 stars.
After you’re done securing 2 stars go for as much damage as possible to get 3rd star as well but keep in mind 2 stars is all you absolutely need.
5 – Extra tips
When your army is ready wait for your shield to get around 3 hours or less. One attack costs 3 hour shield so if you attack with a lot of shield active it will consume 6 hours’ worth of shield.
In case you want to use the army training boost remember to only use it when your guard shield is active.
High defence doesn’t matter mostly people who attack you will very likely destroy your base so focus on army upgrades first.
