What are Star Points?
Star Points are just like the experience points, but unlike the experience points they can upgrade your max levelled cards (level-13) to Star level cards. Star Points upgrades cosmetics of your cards to the golden effect of armors, weapons and clothes. Star levels on cards vary, depending on the rarity and interaction of the card.
What are the requirements to get Star Points?
Star Points are the golden points that can only be unlocked by having the King Tower of max level (level-13). After maxing up the level your experience points will be upgraded to star points. Then these Star Points can be used to upgrade your cards to star levels, and unlock their glittery spirits.
How to get Star Points?
As the star points are hard to unlock, so as they are hard to earn. But there are quite a few ways that can be utilized to earn Star Points quite swiftly.
- Leveling up your Card:
If you have reached the level-13 of your Kings Tower and have unlocked the Star Points. So, when that happens your experience points are upgraded to star points. To earn these points, you can level up your cards. This will benefit you both ways, as it will give your cards an upgrade in rank along with some gain in Star Points. For example, if you level up your card from level-7 to level-8 you’ll get 100 Star Points. The Star Points are defined for each upgraded level as:
- From level-1 To level-2, 4 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-2 To level-3, 5 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-3 To level-4, 6 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-4 To level-5, 10 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-5 To level-6, 50 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-6 To level-7, 50 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-7 To level-8, 100 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-8 To level-9, 200 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-9 To level-10, 400 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-10 To level-11, 600 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-11 To level-12, 800 Star Points are awarded.
- From level-12 To level-13, 1600 Star Points are awarded.
Requirements:
- Check if you have the required number of cards available to upgrade.
- Check if you have the gold required to upgrade.

Step-1: Open Clash Royale and click on the cards button.
Step-2: Find the card you want to upgrade and click on it.
Step-3: Check all the requirements to upgrade and click upgrade.
- Buying Maxed-up Cards:
If you have maxed-up any or all of your cards then you can go to the shop and look for the cards you have maxed-up (level13) and buy them. This will give you Star Points depending upon the rarity of the card you have bought. For example, you have maxed up (level13) your Hog Rider and you buy 1 card of Hog Rider from the shop you’ll get 10 Star Points. The star points depend upon the rarity of the card.
- 1 Common card bought gives 1 Star Point.
- 1 Rare card bought gives 10 Star Points.
- 1 Epic card bought gives 100 Star Points.
Requirements:
- Check if you have a maxed-up card.
- Check if that maxed-up card is available in the shop.
- Check if you have the required gold to buy the card from the shop.

Step-1: Open Clash Royale and click on the cards button.
Step-2: See the cards you have maxed-up.
Step-3: After seeing your maxed-up cards click on the shop button.
Step-4: See if any of that maxed-up card is available in the shop. If available buy it
- Donating Card:
If you are a part of any clan, then you must know that you can donate and request cards from other members of the clan. If you meet all the requirements to unlock star points, you can easily earn them by donating cards in your clan. The number of Star Points you get by donating depends upon the rarity of the card. For example, if you donate 1 Hog Rider card, which is a rare card, it’ll award you with 10 Star points. According to the latest algorithm of the game following are the rates of star points with rarity:
- 1 Common card donated gives 1 Star Point.
- 1 Rare card donated gives 10 Star Points.
- 1 Epic card donated gives 100 Star Points.
Requirements:
- Check if there is any donation request in the clan.
- Check if you have the card you want to donate.
If you full-fill the above requirements than follow the steps below:
Step-1: Open Clash Royale and click on the clan button.
Step-2: Find if there are any donation requests and click on the donate. You’ll get awarded with star points.
- Open Chest Boxes:
If you have some maxed-up cards in your inventory, and you open a chest box and that maxed-up card appears in it. You’ll get awarded with Star Points. The rate of Star Points depends upon the rarity of the cards.
- 1 Common card received gives 1 Star Point.
- 1 Rare card received gives 10 Star Points.
- 1 Epic card received gives 100 Star Points.
Requirements:
- Check if you have any maxed-up cards.
- Check if you have any chests.
If you full-fill the above requirements than follow the steps below:
Step-1: Open Clash Royale and see your inventory for any maxed-up cards.
Step-2: Go to the Battle page and see if you have any chests available.
Step-3: Click on the chest and see if you can get any of your maxed card(s). If you get any it’ll automatically increase the Star Points.
Getting star leveled cards?
After you have earned star points and leveled-up your cards to level-13. Then you can use these star points to upgrade those cards to star levels. Star levels vary from level 1 to level 3, in accordance with the interaction and rarity of the card.
